Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has announced the successful completion of a trial to load a Trent 1000 (B787 engine) into the main deck of IAI B777-300ERSF cargo aircraft. IAI is the first in the world to convert this type of aircraft to a cargo configuration, offering an increased volume and flight-carrying capacity of 100 tons.

During the successful trial, a Trent 1000 (B787 engine) was successfully loaded through the Main Deck Cargo Door of the IAI B777-300ERSF aircraft, and the engine was perfectly placed in its final position in the main deck using the "Collins" Powered Cargo Loading System (CLS). This achievement demonstrates IAI’s advanced engineering capabilities, expanding the airlift capabilities of the IAI B777-300ERSF aircraft and providing customers with an innovative solution for transporting various engine types and sizes of cargo (e.g. GE90, Trent 700 and Trent 1000).
